PhotoNote© is the first product from South Wedge Software, a company founded by me, Jon Lundberg.

Over the years as a software developer I've spent countless hours huddled around a whiteboard or hunched over a notebook. The excitement I'd have from solving a problem would give way to the chore of recreating the graph or flowchart in some awkward piece of software that I rarely ever used and never got the hang of. It seemed like too much work just to save and share information.

Knowing a little about image processing I figured I could use a digital camera to take snapshots of my notes and clean them up on a computer. Perspective (keystoning) and lighting issues could all be dealt with. Speaking with people about my idea I saw there was a widespread need that I could address.

What started out as a personal project turned into PhotoNote©, a tool for everybody to use. People wanted a better way to work and I had a solution, but I needed a company in order to bring them together. With over ten years experience solving problems in a diverse set of fields I decided to take on my next challenge and founded South Wedge Software in 2007.
